Primary Purpose:
Serves as an advisor and facilitator for development of company and business unit strategies. Works with business leaders to proactively identify and create global strategies and tactics to drive profitable growth for core and future businesses.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Facilitate/teach/support the use of Black & Veatch strategy toolkit; fosters continuous strategic planning capabilities
• Plan, organize and deliver complete pieces of (strategy related) analyses; prepares concise business analyses by collecting, analyzing and explaining information
• Identify patterns across contexts leading to meaningful or noteworthy insights
• Develop presentations and key messages; presents findings to internal teams and clients
• Develop the strategic skills and capabilities of other professionals
• Manage internal relationships with other business and corporate units within Black & Veatch; identify opportunities for efficiencies in working relationships and cross-unit processes and hand-offs with Business Units
• Assist with long term planning
• Assist with portfolio analysis
• Directs and may conduct research needed for strategy related activities
• Assist with ensuring appropriate metrics/measures/milestones are being created and monitored
• Assist with overall project management of strategy Center of Excellence and innovation activities
• Assist with Growth Council Meetings and Quarterly strategy meetings

Minimum Qualifications:
Typically, 5-8 years+ related experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field required or relevant experience

• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information
• Strong communication skills; has an ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form and build trusted internal and external relationships
• Industry knowledge, preferred
• Awareness of trends/current events and ability to see how it may impact areas of the business
• Deals with ambiguity
• Strong listening skills
• Strong business and financial acumen
