Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Key aspects of the role will include:
• providing environmental support on a wide range of projects including fluvial and coastal flood risk management, renewables, water utility and energy projects;
• undertaking Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) - assisting with undertaking all aspects of EIA at all stages of the project, including SEA, feasibility, screening/scoping, reporting, supervision of mitigation and monitoring; and
• liaising with project teams, clients, stakeholders and the public as required.
The role will also include the opportunity to assist with, and develop, a specialism in any of the EIA technical areas such as ecology, noise, fisheries, ecosystem services, maritime.
The B&V Environmental Services team comprise a range of disciplines including EIA co-ordinators and technical specialists in areas such as landscape, ecology, due diligence, maritime and geomorphology. The successful graduate will work within the B&V Environmental Services team but will also work with wider design and construction teams and other specialists such as geotechnical, contaminated land, maritime and renewables engineers.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
The candidate needs to have knowledge of the principles and stages of EIA and to have excellent written and oral communication.
