The Telecommunications Division delivers telecommunication infrastructure solutions to utilities, local and state government agencies and the commercial wireless industry. Through a unique combination of experience, expert resources and innovative solutions, Black & Veatch supports the entire range of both legacy and emerging technologies used in today’s wireless and wireline networks, voice, video, Internet and data systems and utility automation.
Leads logistics team, initiatives, and process improvements. Provides support to project teams with complex logistics functions for projects and proposals. May be required to support other logistics duties on multiple projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the performance or the direct management of one or more logistic teams. • Supports negotiations for logistics service PO. • Collaborates as needed to resolve complex claims or other issues. • Responsibility for any and all logistical requirements. • Identifies and assesses improvement opportunities which will add value. • Champions continuous improvement efforts. • Assesses and supports the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements. • Proactively supports, encourages and facilitates staff to engage in continuous improvement activities. • Provide support for the development of domestic and international proposals. • Prepare final version of logistics plan for proposals and projects. • Responsible for all items for domestic and international projects. • Develops and conducts training programs; coaches and mentors professionals in logistics function. • Files appropriate documents and follows filing rules. • Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.
BA or BS degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, Technical, or related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree. Minimum 12 years of relevant experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
