Advanced entry level position assigned to a role in Cost Engineering. Under appropriate supervision, performs routine project controls assignments according to training, capability and experience. In addition to performing duties as assigned, this position is primarily focused on seeking responsibility in the areas of scheduling, costing, and concepts related to the industry technology and project management. Individual contributor with no subordinates.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain cost management system. • Assist with project forecasting. • Maintain and prepare cost and cash flow reports. • Assist with input to monthly/quarterly reports. • Facilitate quantity mgmt reporting. • Maintain change mgmt program. • Maintain progress measurement systems. • Interface with scheduling team to ensure appropriate integration between cost and schedule. • Provide input to risk and contingency reviews. • Understand B&V functional organizations and interfaces. • Understand constructability concepts.
Four-year Bachelor's degree with one or more years of relevant Cost Control of Planning & Scheduling experience OR no four-year Bachelor's degree required with five years or more of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience in Home Office or Field Office. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Prefer four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
Preferred Technical Competencies: • Computer skills: Excel, PowerBI, database concepts. • Basic process execution: Understand transformation of data to information – ability to visualize how data can be transformed into information in the production of project controls reports for use by project teams. • Business systems maintenance: Understanding of how project controls issues relate to other company functions such as project accounting, procurement, QAQC, etc.
