Primary Purpose:
Provides technical or industry knowledge to contribute to the completion of multiple engagement phases. Demonstrate capabilities with moderate level of oversight and collaboration with more senior level professionals. Scope and size of projects they contribute to are generally smaller or they may own a smaller portion of a larger project. May lead a small to medium size effort or project team. May delegate team work assignments through various phases of an engagement. May manage projects from prospect to client deliverable.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
o Support execution of projects to assist electric utilities with management of distributed energy resource programs (solar PV, non-solar distributed generation, electric vehicles, battery storage, demand response, energy efficiency), improvement of utility customer experience, software implementation and new analytics platforms, and other “Utility 2.0” challenges
o Support proposals and business development with utility clients in the same areas
o Support the evaluation of potential new vendor partners, and the development of partnerships with key vendors
o Support the execution of projects in other Management Consulting offerings (Advisory & Planning, Asset Management, Analytics & Business Performance, Customer Ops & Billing) as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience.
Five or more years of experience supporting utilities in the renewable energy/distributed energy resources/smart grid space
Experience leading project teams, monitoring project scope/budget/schedule, and leading client engagements

Preferred Job Qualifications:
General knowledge of the electric utility industry and “Utility 2.0” challenges facing the industry, and understanding of utility processes/programs
o Familiarity with leading vendors and competitors in the Utility 2.0 space
o Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
o Strong skills in software implementation and utility program development/management
o Strong client engagement and business development skills
o Strong interest in helping utility clients in addressing industry challenges and adapting to coming changes in the utility business model

Distributed Energy Resources experience - including energy storage, and istributed renewables such as solar and wind, etc.
