Support the Managing Director and Project Director in the development, communication, and implementation of the B&V Water strategy for project management in the Philippines.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Support the Managing Director and Project Director in the development, communication, and implementation of the B&V Water strategy for project management in the Philippines.
•Project management, coordination and liaison with government authorities/clients/contractors/sub-consultants/JV partners/consortium partners;
•Work closely with the Project Director and project team members to understand the projects and potential obstacles to success. Work with the project team members to define and implement corrective actions to bring the projects back in line with client agreements for expectations, scope, schedule, and budget.
•Work with the Project Director and project team members to ensure projects are being executed in accordance with B&V policies and procedures.
•Where project erosion can be predicted or identified, work closely with the Project Director and project team members to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement solutions to regain targeted project financial performance.
•Provide oversight and direction to Finance & Administration, Project Director, and Managing Director with month-end and year-end project financial results.
•Should legal and project performance issues arise, provide oversight and direction to the team analyzing the problems and developing solutions.
•Participate in all financial review meetings for the projects.
•Support in business development and assist with review of proposals and presentations.
•Oversee independent review of scope and fees on individual projects.
•Take an active role in retaining and recruiting top talent in the project team that can support B&V Water’s growth needs and initiatives.
•Stress the need of strengthening B&V’s international image through professional organizations.
Bachelor of science degree. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
•Degree in Engineering. Minimum 15 years of project management experience, preferably in consulting engineering firms working on water/wastewater projects.
•A licensed engineer in the Philippines.
•People management experience.
•Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures in the Philippines.
•Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
•Able to work independently and exercise initiative.
•A team, client and delivery focused working style.
