Senior-level position with responsibility to: lead and train a team of proposal coordinators; ensure compliance with company and industry best practices; assign appropriate talent to task and ensure a balanced workload. Manage/coordinate major proposal efforts.
Has responsibility for projects that are complex in nature, and that are often longer in duration. Understands the strategy/vision of assigned work group. Works under minimal supervision. Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within work group or a recognized body of formal knowledge. This includes knowledge required for complex problems, new project and system development, strategic analysis, etc.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Typical duties may include but are not limited to the following: (Professional responsibilities may cross functions as needed)
•Manages staff of proposal coordinators; responsible for performance management and career development activities.
•Serves as marketing advisor/consultant to the West region and smaller business development teams.
•Establishes priorities; provides work direction and coordinates proposal assignments; monitors work to ensure deadlines met; conducts quality reviews.
•Drives process adherence to ensure best practice.
•Maintains weekly project and workload reports for broad distribution.
•Creates a positive work environment and reflects our cultural principles/behaviors.
Communications and Proposal Management
•Manages multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing work and problem solving, assigning projects, writes, reviews/edits/approves written copy.
•Establishes and maintains quality assurance standards and procedures for all written and visual material
•Participates in forecasts and advises on the future internal and external needs for pursuit related work including strategy, proposal and presentation development
•Recognized by internal and external associates for high-level marketing & communications expertise
•Work involves broad latitude for decision-making and review of actions through goal attainment
•Work prioritization and decisions are critical to overall success. Applies expert knowledge, principles and concepts to pursuit support.
•Brand management, review and compliance of brand standards.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or a related field; or equivalent experience Experience: 6+ years related experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Advanced editorial skills
AEC industry experience preferred
•Solid understanding and experience in implementing proposal quality review processes
•Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign with a strong eye for page layout / design
•Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel
•Strong knowledge of marketing/ branding/ communications concepts
•Strong interpersonal and networking skills
