Primary Purpose:
The focus is on the daily flow of a workgroup's administrative operations for the Business Development unit, under minimal direction and supervision. Emphasis is on providing administrative function and secretarial support to BD team. Duties and tasks are non-routine, requiring substantial and regular independent judgment. Possesses thorough knowledge of workgroup's procedures, as well as general knowledge of company policies and processes, especially related to business development

Identifies and tracks prospects, small business database coordination, and teaming strategies for Black & Veatch SA. Assist in the planning, developing, and coordinating of prospect-captures, proposal development, and client relations initiatives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Identifies and tracks prospects, small business database coordination, and teaming strategies for Black & Veatch SA. Assist in the planning, developing, and coordinating of prospect-captures, proposal development, and client relations initiatives.
The BD Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICE ADMINISTRATION AND COORDINATION
• Maintains Managers and organizes flow of administration work for Business Development office., including performing other general secretarial duties as needed
• Arranges meetings, travel, and business development related events.
• Initiates or composes various documents (business development presentations and communications), as well as researches, analyses and summarizes information
• Support of compiling of proposals and presentations
• Support and prepare iExpense reports for BD Managers
• Responsible to support client contact and liaisons
• Assist with PR, Sales and Marketing activities
• Assist in the update of CRM prospects and produces related regional reports
• Identifies and tracks business development prospects including tracking and monitoring legislative policies impacting federal market sectors.
• Develops small business databases and implements small business teaming strategies.
• Supports prospect capture and proposal development initiatives.
• Supports business development client relations initiatives.
• Monitors business development budgets and expenditures including variance reporting.
• Develops and builds relationships with multiple sources and contacts both internally and with clients.
• Represents Company at industry trade shows, conferences, association meetings, and committee hearings.
• Creates presentation materials for various internal meetings.
• Other duties as directed by the Director, Business Development

PROPOSAL & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT
• Provide basic support of client presentations and other general less complex sales support requests.
• Schedule related meetings with key contacts and executive visitors
• Maintain and Update key contact list
• Updates professional profiles
• Coordinates compilation of proposals and assist with submissions when required
• Collates QE sheet
• Weekly tender scanning for opportunities

COMMUNICATION
AND MARKETING SUPPORT
Marketing
• Supports content and messaging development of internal and externally focused marketing.
• Region presentations
• Country research (segmenting)
• B&V Lead events
Communications
• Works with PR company on internal communication and coordinates press interviews and related matters
• Understands strategy
• Attends meetings, interviews and assist with schedules.
• Assists with copy content for website, iNet and media

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Journalism, or related field. 5+ years of experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Postgraduate Diploma Business Administration
• Bachelor’s Degree (Administration / Commerce)
• 5 years experience in an administrative role
• 5 years experience in Sales / BD Administration role – an advantage
• Computer literate with proficiency in excel, power point and word – must have
• Good communication in English oral and written must have
