Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Junior Product Manager for Atonix Digital, to support our fast growing “Operate” product line.  You will help define how ASSET360 helps owners, managers, and operators of assets large and small make better decisions to increase the value of their assets and businesses.  Performance Analysis collects data from many sources, calculates key performance indicators, shows insightful visualizations, and enables broad and deep data exploration.  Monitoring & Diagnostics combines machine learning with industry leading workflow management tools to detect and resolve emerging problems before they cause costly and disruptive impacts to overall production levels and asset performance.   

You will work with customers, partners, prospects, and stakeholders to understand how enhancing ASSET360 capabilities can help solve their evolving business and asset management problems. As the voice of the customer and market, you will learn new industries and technologies, work with physics-based and machine learning techniques, and improve analytics to deliver best in class user experiences, while working in a fast-paced agile capacity to deliver impactful value to our clients.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping our customers be wildly successful and the Atonix Digital team deliver game changing capabilities. You will be thoughtful, thorough and inspire others with your insight while encouraging others participation. You will be technical enough to have spirited debates with our seasoned software team and creative enough to help craft compelling positioning statements to support marketing. 

The Junior Product Manager will be responsible for supporting product strategy, research, requirements development, and prioritization. The Junior Product Manager will interact with customers, partners, and competitors for detailed understanding of the market, with Industry Managers for understanding of industry-specific requirements and priorities, with the platform team for delivery and clarification of requirements and use cases, and with the marketing and sales team for product messaging. This position will be a direct report to the Sr. Product Manager for the ASSET360 Performance Analysis and Monitoring & Diagnostics products. 

As a Junior Product Manager, you will: 

  • Attend industry events to understand and validate market trends, technologies, personas, and common problems. 
  • Meet with / interview customers and partners to develop personas, understand current product fit, and identify opportunities for new products or enhancements. 
  • Perform competitive analysis. 
  • Gather, compile, and use data to help identify and prioritize activities. 
  • Refine, prioritize and develop business cases for product requirements as input to road-mapping and resource allocation. 
  • Write requirements, user stories, and user scenarios. 
  • Work with developers, user experience designers to solve problems the best way possible. 
  • Support ideation, prototypes, user surveys, and other methods to generate and validate solutions. 
  • Work with technical writers to document features and capabilities. 
  • Work with marketing to produce web pages, data sheets, whitepapers, FAQs and other collateral that helps promote Atonix Digital products. 
  • Work with sales and pre-sales to respond to RFPs and RFIs. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 2 years of experience with software delivery in product management, engineering, business analysis, marketing, or similar. 
 
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have excellent presentation, writing, organizational and interpersonal skills. 
  • Build rapport with stakeholders, understand their problems, and relate to Atonix software capabilities and vision.   
  • Define key metrics to gather and compile data from markets, customers, and users to inform the organization and feed prioritization. 
  • Identify common problems in our markets and articulate them effectively for solution development. 
  • Work in an agile environment, with frequently moving targets and changing priorities. 
  • Resourcefulness and enthusiasm to learn and re-apply appropriate knowledge towards improving self, organization, and products. 
  • Strong project management skills to coordinate parallel tasks across numerous parties, while effectively prioritizing and working independently when needed. 
  • Successfully work with a large variety of internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Quickly become proficient with modern software business tools and agile processes. 
  • General knowledge of software technologies, such as BI tools, SQL Server, APIs, or Data Science, is a plus.   
  • Knowledge of one or more industries, such as power generation, water treatment, or oil & gas processing, is a plus.
