Job Summary

The BVCI Payroll Coordinator will provide general support for the Barry 8 construction project. This professional will act as the liaison between the project site and the home office by assisting in all aspects of onboarding Union Craft professionals. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all new craft employees are set up in appropriate systems prior to craft mobilization, as assigned
    ▪ Open and close timekeeping system at the start and end of each shift in accordance with project procedures
    ▪ Produce and maintain the daily force report and distribute it daily to construction management
    ▪ Check daily time sheet hours and compare to daily time clock hours (Gate Log)
    ▪ Ensure that craft time sheets are entered into the timekeeping system
    ▪ Coordinate project craft payroll with corporate payroll
    ▪ Enter all approved payroll changes and file changes into employee files
    ▪ Distribute weekly payroll stubs to craft workers. Reconcile all differences with construction management, cost engineers, and craft workers, as appropriate
    ▪ Administer Employee Payroll Deducts
    ▪ Update and Maintain Roster System
    ▪ Prepare Personnel Layoffs, Transfers, and Voluntary Quits
    ▪ Enter Payroll Timecard Information into System
    ▪ Process Employee Layoffs
    ▪ Update Craft Information in Accounting/Payroll System
    ▪ Administer Craft Pay Policy
    ▪ All changes of hours, hourly compensation and fringes must be approved by the discipline Superintendent or Construction Manager
    ▪ Complete all training assigned in Blueprint
    ▪ Complete all reading assigned in the Project Responsibility Matrix
    ▪ Attend the Monday morning All Hands Meeting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with heavy data entry and computer systems
