Job Summary

Bird Electric, a Black & Veatch company, is a U.S. self-perform electrical construction services provider with a national reach in emergency power restoration. Bird Electric delivers grid solutions and operates in adjacent distributed infrastructure markets including renewables, electric vehicle (EV) charging, and connectivity.  The Marketing Manager will serve as a business advisor to a division or subset of company. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as business advisor to division or smaller subset of the company.
  • Establishes priorities; provides work direction and assignments; monitors work to ensure deadlines met; conducts reviews.
  • Typically, has influence on budget and monitors.
  • Brand management is considered complex and critical to the overall success of the company.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of strategic plans to promote and increase the brand identity to maximize company sales and contribute to profitable growth.
  • Focus is on a single, easily identified brand Communications.
  • Manages communications activities e.g. assigning projects, reviewing/ editing/ approving written copy.
  • Participates in forecasting of internal and external needs to develop copy content for a wide variety of complex marketing applications and programs.
  • Applies advanced communication knowledge, skills and principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing work and problem solving.
  • Manages the marketing function (e.g. assigning projects, reviewing/ editing/ approving marketing materials and collateral, etc.).
  • Participates in the forecasting of internal and external needs to develop marketing content for a wide variety of complex marketing applications and programs.
  • Oversees copy to be used, whether written internally or by an outside vendor.
  • Establishes and maintains quality assurance standards and procedures for all written material.
  • Integrate critical information from many diverse areas, with extensive theoretical practical and industry knowledge.
  • Applies and/or develops highly advanced principles and concepts.
  • Participates in forecasts and advises on the future internal and external needs for pursuit related work including strategy, proposal and presentation development.
  • Recognized by internal and external associates for high-level expertise.
  • Represents the company point-of-view in high-level presentations.
  • Work involves broad latitude for decision-making and review of actions through goal attainment.
  • Work prioritization and decisions are critical to the overall success of all aspects and phases of the organization.
  • Applies expert knowledge, principles, theories and concepts to pursuit support.
  • May have functional management responsibilities for a limited scope of activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience. 6+ years progressive experience, including 2+ years supervisory.
