Job Summary
The Director of Origination is responsible for leading business development and deal origination efforts for strategic infrastructure projects. This role focuses on identifying, structuring, and securing opportunities in digital infrastructure and related sectors. The Director will drive growth through client engagement, market analysis, and partnership development, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and financial targets.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute origination strategies for data centers, and other related infrastructure projects. Related infrastructure could include: power supply for the data center, water/wastewater, and/or fiber.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key clients, investors, and partners.
- Lead negotiations for site acquisition and strategic partnerships.
- Responsible for sourcing, managing, and driving deals to close.
- Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and inform strategy.
- Direct Site Origination team to source sites in target regions in alignment with strategy.
- Represent the company at industry events and forums to enhance visibility.
- Collaborate with Project Finance, Operations, Energy, Legal, and Marketing teams to structure and deliver successful transactions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members.
- Establish KPIs and track progress against business development goals.
- Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for senior leadership.
Management Responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years in business development, origination, or sales within technology or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven track record of closing complex deals and managing strategic partnerships.
- Experience and relationships with data center owner/operators
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation abilities.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
