Job Summary

Responsible for coordination of scoping data to the Site Acquisition and Construction teams for small cell, MCA (carrier adds), and New site build telecom projects as determined by the market’s Senior Scoping manager and the National Scoping Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Will report directly to the market’s Senior scoping manager
  • Weekly meeting with the scoping team and East’s Senior scoping mangers to ensure proper coverage for the market.
  • Engage actively with the market’s BV internal teams (SAQ, ENG, CON) and the client on scoping calls.
  • Must upkeep and maintain a master scoping tracker for the market that encompasses all scoping notes and scoping tasks completed for each respective year
  • Responsible for using scoping data to order material as determined by Senior Scoping manager
  • Responsible for submitting a final site package email to construction after SAQ/ENG docs become available (usually 2-3 months post scoping or 30 days prior to the RE020 forecast)
    • Ensure A&E docs reflect the scoping notes.  Escalate any changes immediately back to the SAQ vendor.
  • Knowledge of BV and ATT quality specs
  • Understand the contract to know what’s in scope and out of scope
  • Clients relations as determined by Senior and Nation Scoping managers

Preferred Skills: Proficiency in excel and other Microsoft applications.  Preferred knowledge of BV systems such as SMART, Oracle, Swiftrac, FileNet, etc.  Experience in the Telecommunications industry with SAQ/CON knowledge preferred. Knowledge of project budget process and tools. Knowledge of department budget process and tools. Knowledge of Project controls. Knowledge of construction telecom technology industry.  Constructability knowledge.  Knowledge of project budget process and tools. Risk assessment/management. Administrative policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications

1 year of experience required. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Certifications

OSHA 10 hour.

Physical Demands:
• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds. 
• Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, Move, and Walk long distances in and around confined, cluttered places, and uneven areas.
• See and hear naturally or with correction.   
• Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties. 
• Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure. 
• Requires repetitive movement. 
• May require work above 5 feet in height.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds. 
• Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions. 

Work Environment:
• Typical construction site environment:  
• Requires working in cramped work spaces and getting into awkward positions. 
• Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32F degrees) temperatures and exposure to inclement weather such as dust, wind, snow, rain, etc. 
• Requires working in extremely bright or low lighting conditions 
• Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. 
• Work around hazardous equipment.
• Typical office environment.
• This position is considered a safety sensitive position.
