Job Summary

Seeking an individual with a strong consulting and technical (mechanical or electrical engineering) background with demonstrated strategic consulting experience in the renewable energy sector

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver strategic consulting engagements on commercial and technical aspects of infrastructure
  • Deliver projects within scope, budget and schedule whilst producing high quality deliverables
  • Provide technical or industry knowledge contributing to the completion of multiple projects relating to infrastructure advisory, particularly within energy & utilities industry with a focus on renewables technology across the Asia and MENA regions
  • Manage client engagements, to achieve targeted profitability, timeline and customer expectations
  • Utilize experience in one or more of engineering, economics or finance to deliver client-focused solutions
  • Use commercial, financial, transactional or procurement experience to play a leading role in the delivery of client engagements spanning strategic, financial and commercial advice
  • Apply quantitative and economic modelling and analysis, procurement structuring and management and negotiation of commercial terms through to contractual and/or financial close
  • Participate actively in new business pursuits, lead proposal development, build & maintain relationship with clients by leveraging internal and external resources
  • Engage directly with clients to understand and define their requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience. 7+ years experience in a business/consulting environment. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree, in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • 12+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated project management capability using recognized methodology for managing and leading all aspects of an engagement including staffing, operations, and client relationships
  • Understanding of renewable energy / power sector for undertaking LTA and/or due diligence projects
  • Understanding of energy storage solutions and hybrid power / generation system integration
  • Understanding of operation and maintenance contracts, project finance, risks and commercial concepts of IPPs/ IWPPs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex engagements through all stages and phases
  • Strong techno-commercial acumen in commercial or advisory role within the infrastructure sector
  • Experience in management consulting
  • Strong communication (written & verbal), negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to interpret and resolve unstructured problems
  • Demonstrated thought leadership abilities
  • Flexibility to work on required project schedules and occasional extended hours
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin a plus
