Job Summary

The Advanced Transportation Solutions Engineer will interface with internal and external clients to support Advanced Transportation solutions (EV Charging Stations, Hydrogen Refueling Stations, EV Fleet Charging, Aviation Hub Charging, and Autonomous Vehicles).  The Solutions Engineering will work closely with each Market Sector (P&L), respective Product Leader, Clients, and OEMs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interfaces with clients to understand existing and emerging Transportation solution needs
  • Works with clients to understand their portfolio needs and goals to develop viable solutions to meet their needs. 
  • In collaboration with the Advanced Transportation Solutions Architect, helps define, and evolve solutions portfolio to all sector needs
  • Interfaces with operations and project leaders to enable solutions delivery for all market sectors
  • Coordinates with OEMs to ensure solutions offer the latest market and product offerings and use this information for proposal submittals and project execution
  • Provide input and thought leadership to solutions and proposal development
  • Communicates and builds trust effectively within team and sectors, particularly with segment leaders and client executives
  • Collaborates with internal teams from initial engagement, through solution development and project execution
  • Works with other Solutions Architects and Solutions Managers on combined solution offerings
  • Understand the EV landscape especially related to the advanced transportation ecosystem and their challenges, workforce development, Electric Vehicle providers, interested stakeholders, and policy objectives (e.g. carbon reduction, equity considerations) 
  • Understand the requirements, gaps, and barriers for Electric Vehicle and Advanced Transportation readiness and able to help develop programs and policies to address gaps and barriers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Typically a minimum of 4 years experience focused on electric vehicles, sustainability or renewable energy.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or sciences preferred or any other degree, specialized training, or experience, that makes the individual uniquely qualified to perform the job responsibilities.
  • Industry recognized credentials preferred as needed.
  • Master's degree degree preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Knowledge of a complete engagement lifecycle.
  • Building business development capability.
  • Advanced technical or industry knowledge.
  • Knowledge base in two or more solution areas.
  • Human relations skills including collaboration and team functions.
  • Ability to understand team functions and lead operation in an engagement environment.
