Job Summary
Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include electrical engineering design for power generation facilities and heavy industrial high voltage electrical distribution, including the following: develop calculations, specifications, protective relay settings, schematic diagram and wiring diagram for power generation facilities; construction field engineering as well as equipment and plant commissioning activities; prepare electrical calculations required for specifying generators, motors, transformers, electrical conductors, switchgear; preparing system analysis required to perform protective relay settings for electrical devices and to ensure the safe function of the electrical system; utilize knowledge of electrical circuit analysis such as short circuit analysis, motor starting studies, electrical load flow studies and arc flash studies; develop specifications for equipment used in the system to be built focusing on physical, electrical and control features required to meet system requirements; provide overall facility design to ensure personnel safety during operation, and maintenance the electrical power system.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus three years of related experience.  Must have demonstrated experience in the following: Design of medium voltage auxiliary power systems, protective relaying, short circuit and load flow analysis, preparing technical specifications, and managing vendor and construction contracts. Specific experience should include electrical calculations required for specifying generators, motors, transformers, electrical conductors, switchgear, setting protective electrical devices, short circuit analysis, motor starting studies, electrical load flow studies, arc flash studies, and developing electrical calculations for protective relaying systems.  Experience must include the use of ETAP, SKM, SEL acSELerator, Aspen One-Liner, Mathcad, or comparable tools.  Position requires travel to project sites up to 10% of the time. Must have good written and verbal communications skills in English. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
