Job Summary

Oversees all aspects of the Georgia Power Grid Investment Program that includes distribution, transmission, and substation projects. Responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. Provides for the successful staffing, management and leadership of programs. Coordinates and integrates the activities associated with the engineering, procurement and construction elements of the team, including the activities of all third-party companies contributing to the initiative. Will have project management personnel as direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages small to medium EPC projects involving multiple teams and subcontract partners.
  • Nurtures and grows client and business partner relationships within the program to ensure new project assignments in the program.
  • Maintains a strong culture of professionalism and continuous improvement to ensure a high level of performance with client(s) and demonstrates competitive services that are effective at completing work stafely, on time, within budget and at the highest quality. 
  • Manages risk and is effective at resolving issues in a manner that maintains trust, flexibility and transparency.
  • Provides strong leadership presence with Atlanta to lead the local core team of professionals who are supporting the program and expand BV's brand in the local market through effective networking. 

Preferred Qualifications

At least 9 years experience in transmission and/or distribution project or program management. 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of science degree.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards (electric currents), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation).  Sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
