Purpose
The APAC Operations Leader role is to promote BV’s safety and quality culture within the APAC team, while mentoring talent at all levels to ensure results are delivered. This individual will lead the Global Operations team in the APAC region, communicating goals and objectives and ensuring operations align with the broader organization. The individual in this role will provide leadership to the APAC Operations team and will be part of the executive APAC-India leadership team, setting clear expectations, providing guidance and direction, and empowering team members to make decisions. The role involves coordinating global and regional operations, ensuring alignment and working towards the same goals. The individual will have joint responsibility with the P&L for successful outcomes, working closely with the P&L to ensure that all projects from new business pursuit to project completion/handover are delivered on time
to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet quality standards. Additionally, they will build relationships with external and internal partners, identifying new opportunities to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for promoting the highest safe and quality culture within the APAC team. This includes leading by example, being involved and visible, and ensuring all team members are aware of the importance of safety and quality. They will also be responsible for mentoring talent at all levels of the APAC team to ensure that the team can deliver results.
- Is the point of contact for all matters related to APAC Operations. Responsible for communicating the goals and objectives of the global team to the APAC team and ensuring that operations in the region align with the broader goals of the organization.
- Provide leadership to the APAC team and will be part of the executive APAC-India leadership team by setting clear expectations for the team, providing guidance and direction, and empowering team members to make decisions. The goal is to maintain the high-performing team that can deliver results.
- Responsible for coordinating global and regional operations. This includes working with the global operations team to ensure that all operations are aligned and working together towards the same goals. It also includes working with the APAC team to ensure that all operations in the region are coordinated and working towards the same goals.
- Joint responsibility with the P&L for the successful outcome of the projects from new business pursuit to project completion/handover. This means that they will work closely with the P&L to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet the required quality standards.
- Responsible for building relationships with external partners across engineering, construction, vendors, and clients. Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with internal partners across the organization. This includes working closely with these partners to ensure that all operations are aligned and working towards the same goal. It also includes identifying new partnership opportunities that can help with the organization to achieve its goals. #LI-RK1
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Management, or related field. Master’s degree is preferred
- Be able to think and manage a global team.
- Proactive minds with leadership responsibilities of managing a large team, a focus on continuous improvement and innovation and demonstrated experience managing large turnkey /special projects and initiatives with a track record of successful execution and delivery in the EPC industry.
- Experience working in the Asia-Pacific region
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required. 10+ years progressive experience in management of relevant business line and related technology.
