The Opportunity

Supports functional strategies as an Engineering & Development Services (EDS) Distribution Solution Manager , a solution within the larger Grid and Distributed Infrastructure Solutions. Supports the applicable project leadership to bring an understanding of current and new projects to the Global EDS Team. Provides high level monitoring of engineering design execution. Collaborates with Distribution business leadership on alignment of opportunities with engineering design skills, capabilities and capacity to support. Supports the EDS Distributed Infrastructure Solution leader, with a specific focus on the Distribution area to align with solution growth, priorities and growth targets.

Responsible for the development of optimal and consistent engineering Solution execution processes and design approaches for Distribution, including continuous review, improvement and updating of documentation (QMS, etc.). Develops typical/template engineering design deliverables for Distribution in collaboration with Distribution leadership and the BV Chief Engineers. Drives development of training and onboarding materials for Distribution professionals. Accountable for driving collaboration across Solutions, Regions, and other internal Ops/EDS stakeholders on the adoption and evolution of BVs programmatic engineering execution approaches in this area. Supports the EDS Solutions Engineering Excellence leader, with a specific focus on Distribution.

 Responsible for Engineering Management hiring, growth and associated resource management strategies and culture geared toward supporting Distribution strategic growth and optimizing efficiency and agility, while building high performing teams. Supports workforce management with the EDS Engineering & Design Management Distributed Infrastructure Leader with a specific focus on the Distribution area.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive joint accountability for project execution and safety performance globally.
• Collaborate with Market Sector and Solutions Leaders and project leadership to understand new and existing business strategies globally and prepare for growth in emerging markets.
• Track new business proposals and staffing trends that will drive collaboration with EDS Discipline leaders to build proposal and project teams.
• Monitor project challenges for elevation to EDS Leadership, Chief Engineers, and/or EDS Resources Discipline Leaders. Assist in identifying project risks and elevate concerns to project teams.
• Drive continuous improvements and standardization of Distribution engineering execution processes. 
• Develop and manage Distribution engineering execution processes to support the achievement of BVs Next Gen Strategy.
• Coordinate engineering execution processes with all Op’s stakeholders (Construction, Supply Chain, PJC, PMO, etc.) to support efficient project execution of Distribution projects globally.
• Develop and continue execution of effective tactics to drive collaboration and influence of stakeholders related to Distribution engineering execution approaches and processes.   
• Accountable for the quality review and accuracy of EDS Distribution engineering execution processes within Quality Management System documents, including continuous improvement, incorporation of best practices and lessons learned, and management of required updates.
• Work with the Market Sector and Solution leaders, Quality, and EDS Engineering Excellence Leaders on the strategy for improvements to processes and tools that will drive efficiency and prepare for future opportunities and markets.
• Support Distribution Engineering Manager professional hiring, onboarding, growth, training, development and succession planning.
• Support the EDS hiring goals by identifying potential hires, conducting interviews, developing employment offers, and supporting onboarding activities.
• Track existing and new business planning and support staffing trends utilizing tools such as Tempus that will drive collaboration with EDS Leaders as well as the Distributed Infrastructure Solution.
• Monitor individual professional challenges in coordination with group supervisors for elevation to EDS Leadership, Chief Engineers, EDS Discipline Leaders, and/or Solution Leaders.
• Support the EDS culture and community across the Distributed Infrastructure solutions, which also includes an employee ownership and safety mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, HR-related, or other related technical discipline
• Experience with managing and delivering Services or EPC proposals and projects  
• 7+ years’ proposal and client relationship experience in one of BV's markets
• Understands business on a global scale and that different approaches work in different places

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. 7+ years of management experience in areas such as engineering, environmental, land services, project management and/or operations management.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
• Ability to utilize audio/videoconferencing software tools for internal/external communication
• Sitting/standing/computer usage for extended periods of time
