Job Summary

To provide specialist water and catchment technical services for major G&I projects and programmes and contribute to the delivery of multifunctional net gain solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply expert knowledge of catchment processes, aquatic resource management, water quality and water resource studies in the delivery of flood and coastal projects, water resource management, natural capital and energy projects.
  • Provide technical guidance for Hydromorphology, water quality and water resources issues and projects for B&V’s Water, Flood and Coastal and Environmental Consultancy projects
  • Develop scopes and manage proportionate technical delivery of specialist modelling and assessment tasks / studies
  • Contribute to and deliver conference presentations on key projects and best practice approaches
  • Support Business Directors in the development and maintenance of key client relationships
  • Involvement in the development of business opportunities in the area of expertise/interest.
  • Provide review or work and coaching for more graduate water specialists.

Preferred Qualifications

Education & training:

Masters (or equivalent) in Environmental related subject. 

Academic & profess’l qualif’ns:

PhD in related subject

Background & experience:

Working as part of multidisciplinary teams and across public, private and third sector organisations.

Knowledge base:

Project management, Knowledge of the management of PSC contracts and stakeholder engagement processes is desirable


Applied experience in water quality and or water resources modelling

Minimum Qualifications

Education & training:

Environmental related degree

Academic & profess’l qualif’ns:

Chartered Environmentalist and or Chartered Scientist status.

Background & experience:

Excellent grounding in water quality, water resources and catchment management concepts, data management and assessments, studies and reporting in relation to flood/coastal management, water utility or energy projects.

Knowledge base:

Technical wider understanding and application of water quality, resources and catchment monitoring and modelling.
