Job Summary

By joining our business, you will have the opportunity to be involved in cutting-edge technology and work with a team that moves quickly with decisions and expectations. Our Commercial Segment Leader within the Connectivity and Commercial Market Sector will develop and execute profitable growth to targeted market segments, and associated sub-segments, across Black & Veatch's solution portfolio. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct profit and loss for business growth, financial target attainment, and value contribution (Commercial Leader NB PGM, $50M/ Earned PGM $55M.)
  • Oversee full project lifestyle activities, from opportunity creation to project delivery and closeout.
  • Develop segment strategy including segmentation, prioritization, key accounts, sales and GTM in collaboration with Strategic Growth.
  • Develop and execute segment-led key account plans, and associated client relationships, for high-level client satisfaction results.
  • Co-develop marketing strategy in collaboration with Strategic Growth (thought leadership, industry exp, etc.)
  • Implement sales governance - e.g., funnel review, contracting manual, risk reviews/approvals.
  • Manage proposal portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to develop solutions that meet specific client needs.
  • Manage a culture of safety, high quality, and successful program/project delivery.
  • Overall accountability for managing commercial risk.
  •  Will Develop and Execute profitable growth through the targeting of strategic Commercial Client relationships
  • Support other internal initiatives and OneBV collaboration.

Management Responsibilities

Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in Engineering, Procurement, Consulting, Construction or related industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; Master's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive Client and Industry knowledge of the respective Market Sector.
  • Demonstrated success with the assessment of market penetration strategies and the pursuit and capture of business.
  • Experience successfully leading P&L center, including controllable costs, new business, investment, program execution and risk strategies.
