Job Summary

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of projects in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) including data analytics, conservation, non-revenue water, and consumer engagement, with a focus on implementation of programs for Water utilities. Responsibilities will vary from project to project and involve client program discovery, strategy, justification, planning, implementation, testing and/or operation.  The Consultant will leverage his/her skills to assist the project team and the client in project execution. The Consultant shall work with limited to moderate supervision and/or may lead a small effort or project team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Works as a team or individual contributor to a work stream to define and/or implement strategies and solutions related to AMI smart water initiatives, data analytics, and/or customer engagement 
  • Enhances established working relationships with team members and management from within the client’s organization 
  • Develops applicable knowledge bases by using best practices to redefine tools and techniques.  Outlines specific performance measures, targets, and goals to articulate the business case for realized efficiencies or added value 
  • Implements project management capabilities on assigned sub-tasks, including but not limited to, managing client expectations, sub-task delegation and work stream resourcing, and risk project management 
  • Contributes to high quality project execution, including deliverable quality control, scope assessment/feasibility, and issue resolution 
  • Anticipates challenges, and implements strategies to minimize issues, leveraging team members skills and expertise as appropriate  
  • Builds onto existing tools and capabilities for project delivery, including project artifacts, tools, or processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Depth and breadth of knowledge in AMI, data analytics, water conservation, non-revenue water, and consumer engagement. 
  • Knowledge of a complete engagement lifecycle. 
  • Building business development capability. 
  • Advanced technical or industry knowledge. 
  • Human relations skills including collaboration and team functions. 
  • Advanced PC literacy (e.g., Power BI, Visio, Microsoft Project, and/or advanced MS Excel skills) 
  • Ability to run SQL queries. 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience. 4+ years experience in a business/consulting environment.  All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Certifications

Certifications related to area of expertise, where applicable preferred.
