Job Summary

Black & Veatch has an exciting opportunity for a Water Resource and Hydrogeologist Professional focused on western water supply management and water resilience initiatives.

As an employee-owned, global leader in building critical infrastructure in the energy, water, telecommunications and government services markets, Black & Veatch has a long-standing reputation for providing world-class service to our clients.

Our U.S. planning and water resources business has seen consistent growth driven by our clients’ needs to address challenges stemming from water supply and well field development, rehabilitation, operations,  and associated regulatory requirements; development of aquifer storage and recovery systems; reservoir operation and seepage control; outfall closures, effluent, concentrate brine, leachate, and mine tailing management through deep well injection; surface water management options; and the development of alternative water supplies.  Challenges surrounding water scarcity, drought resiliency, groundwater depletion, saltwater intrusion, brackish groundwater treatment, brine stream management, desalination, climate variability, sea level rise, complex water rights, and evolving regulations are driving innovative water resource projects across the Country.  In the desert southwest, as well as other locations across the US, we anticipate an increased demand for creative integrated water resource and groundwater planning and design solutions.  This, therefore, represents a strategic business opportunity for Black & Veatch, and the Water Resource & Hydrogeologist Professional will help the company grow its market share in the West by providing world-class planning and water resource services.

  • Support integrated water supply assessments and alternative water supply planning and implementation efforts.
  • Support scenario planning and implementation projects for integrated surface and groundwater water management programs and natural systems restoration projects throughout the western US and on other strategic national and international opportunities.
  • Support technology assessments and implementation strategies that will address client groundwater/water resource needs and help differentiate B&V amongst its competitors.
