The Opportunity
Black & Veatch is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to support its water and wastewater market presence in the Colorado geography. Black & Veatch has supported this market for the past 55 years and is seeking a Project Manager to increase our presence and market share and support the growth of our professionals and overall business. The Team
BV’s Governments & Environment business works to provide innovative solutions and integrated planning, design and construction support for mission-critical facilities, as well as threat reduction and environmental services support worldwide. By joining our business, you will be able to provide infrastructure for community benefit through regulated utilities and government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- 20+ years business development and project management experience; wastewater and water technical engineering experience and background. An emphasis in Linear and Pipeline desired.
- PE required; Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline;
- Proven technical understanding of Wastewater and Water markets, including drivers and general trends.
- Strong sales traits, including tenacity, and competitiveness.
- Overall people skills, task oriented to focus on winning new business and achieving sales targets. Adept at work in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, inter-personal skills, presentations skills.
- Ability to interface with diverse personalities. Ability to think strategically and create persuasive message.
- Contract negotiating skills which includes knowledge of terms, risks, pricing, and payment terms. Expert ability to sell, strong negotiating and persuasive skills.
- Understanding of budgets and financial metrics. Self-starter and ability to make decisions independently.
- Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible to multiple demands of project teams and shifting priorities. Problem solving and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
Typically 9 years experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
