Short Description

The Energy from Waste Technical Solutions Lead functions as a technical specialist with a primary focus in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region.
The Solutions Lead will support tendering, project development and engineering design during full project lifecycle from initial project development to construction and startup of EfW / Bio-Energy projects. An understanding of the principles of process engineering, energy production / handling of waste required.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Production:

  • Support business development, proposals, and senior management as the lead in region to develop and secure new business opportunities. 
  • Technical oversight of EfW projects, working with engineering discipline leads.
  • Oversight of moderately complex process engineering deliverables: Simulations, PFDs, H&MBs, MSDs, P&lDs, Specifications, and technical specifications.
  • Oversight of solutions through the project life cycle: feasibility, FEL stages, FEED, detailed design, construction, and commissioning.

Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology:

  • Serves as a technical specialist and has knowledge and skill set to provide consultation and guidance to project teams in a particular practice area

Client Focus:

  • Actively seeks to understand client interests and drivers through normal client contact and through interaction and communication with project leadership
  • May provide support to business development or pursuit activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience in EfW facility design or operations
  • Working knowledge of PRO II, Promax, Protreat, HYSYS and similar process simulation package
  • Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline
  • Experience with moving Grate and Gasification technologies
  • An understanding of EPC and EPCM contracting methods
  • Experience working with developers and funders/investors and owners’ engineers
  • A good knowledge of the fuel feedstock types and their conditions 
  • Exposure to working with the major components of EfW plant, including Boiler/STG/ Flue gas

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.

Acts in capacity of a "lead person." Does not have management responsibility for the people to whom they provide work direction.

Certifications

Most positions - depending on the nature of work performed as defined by the division - will typically require incumbents to have professional registration or licensure in their designated home office country, or be in active pursuit* of such registration

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Typical office/home environment: Sitting/Standing/Computer usage for extended period of time. Speaking/Listening. Ability to utilize audio/video conferencing software for internal/external communication purposes.

Ability to travel to client/project if necessary including typical construction jobsite environment
