The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced OT Cybersecurity Strategist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support throughout the business development cycle for our comprehensive industrial cybersecurity solutions. You will also manage opportunities through the sales process from point of contact to point of contract. You will work closely with our delivery and sales team to understand client needs, demonstrate the value of our offerings, and develop tailored solutions that address the unique challenges of protecting critical infrastructure and industrial control systems.
This position requires a deep understanding of OT environments, cybersecurity principles, and physical security technologies, as well as the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
· Technical Support:
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for prospective clients, providing in-depth product demonstrations, technical presentations, and architectural discussions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to qualify leads, understand client pain points, and develop compelling value propositions.
- Conduct technical assessments of client OT environments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Facilitate client workshops and solutions sessions
- Prepare detailed technical proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Respond to technical inquiries, RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs in a timely and comprehensive manner.
· Solution Design & Architecture:
- Architect and Design comprehensive OT cybersecurity solutions that encompass the full cyber asset lifecycle.
- Integrate physical security solutions with OT cybersecurity strategies to provide a holistic security posture.
- Advise clients on best practices for secure network design, segmentation, and industrial protocols.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends in OT cybersecurity and physical security.
· Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including IT and OT leadership, security and compliance teams, and operational personnel.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate the complexities of securing their critical infrastructure.
- Gather client feedback to inform product development and service enhancements.
· Project Delivery & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other solution teams to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction for cybersecurity deliverables such as: assessments, risk analysis, compliance support, system hardening, etc.
- Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to internal teams.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to promote our solutions and thought leadership.
· Sales Process Management and Optimization:
- Manage opportunities throughout the sales process, including scoping, pricing, approvals and submission
- Develop and identify efficiencies for the sales process
- Manage the sales reporting and key performance indicators for the sales pipeline
Management Responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
· Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, GICSP, CISM, CEH, CCNA/CCNP).
· Prior experience working for a cybersecurity vendor or managed security service provider (MSSP).
· Proven ability to assess security architectures of OT networks
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
· 10+ years of experience in a sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting role with a focus on OT cybersecurity.
· Experience scoping technical projects
· Direct experience in planning and facilitating risk workshops, table-top exercises, and other client-facing work sessions
· Deep understanding of Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA, DCS, PLCs, RTUs, and other operational technologies.
· Strong knowledge of OT security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-82, ISA/IEC 62443, NERC CIP).
· Experience with physical security systems and their integration with cybersecurity solutions (e.g., access control systems, video management systems, intrusion detection).
· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
· Willingness to travel as needed (up to 50%).
