Job Summary

Provide technical or industry knowledge to contribute to the completion of multiple engagement phases for projects in utility, energy and other industries. Lead consulting assignments involving Distributed Energy Resources, Grid Modernization, Microgrids, Distribution System Operator, customer programs, and demand side management. Demonstrate capabilities with moderate level of oversight and collaboration with more senior level professionals. Delegate and direct the project work of peer level and junior level professionals. Responsible for managing project P&L, project schedules and aligning individual and team contribution with client needs and overall engagement objectives. Support sales by identifying opportunities and scoping and budgeting projects. Build long term client relationships. Prepare proposals, statement of works and task orders. Will interview clients and lead workshops to gather specific data. Analyze financial, engineering and operational data. Prepare and present reports and analysis to clients. Monitor progress, advise clients and inform internal stakeholders. May support regulatory proceedings as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field plus seven years of related consulting experience in the energy and/or utility industries. 
  • Must have consulting experience with Distributed Energy Resources, Grid Modernization, Microgrids, Customer programs, and Demand side management.
  • Must have experience of regulatory filings and litigation support, strategy and roadmap development Benchmarking, Risk-analysis, Business case development (including cost-benefit analysis  and financial modeling). 
  • Position requires travel to project sites up to 80% of the time, and applicant can work from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Must have good written and verbal communications skills in English.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
