Job Summary
  • The Managing Director, Business & Technology Architecture (BTA) Offerings is an integral member of our Offerings Team responsible for the management of existing and new consulting offerings in their assigned area of the firm’s business.  BTA Offering Team focuses on asset management, analytics and OT cybersecurity areas of the power, water and oil & gas industries
  • Identify, sell and create innovative offerings and supporting solutions to specific target problems that address market needs of critical infrastructure, connected enterprise, capital deployment or progressive next-generation energy solutions, for utilities and commercial and Industrial clients
  • Utilize deep industry knowledge and expertise to identify challenges within the market and develop our offering strategy and value proposition to respond to those challenges
  • Support the BVMC Industry teams as well as collaborating with other B&V organizations in the pursuit of key business opportunities as needed
Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains key client relations at the C-suite and Senior Executive level
  • Collaborates with Offerings and Consulting Services for execution effectiveness and client satisfaction
  • Drives early stage project scoping/shaping in alignment with the practice’s vision for expansion
  • Manages the evolution and growth of existing offerings
  • Leads the development of new offerings
  • Supports the creation of and strengthens profitable relationships with our clients
  • Supports business development opportunities with existing and new clients.
  • Leads client solution development and engagements as needed
  • Building and coaching a high-performing team
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 12 years of management consulting experience targeting asset management for gas Transmission and Distribution businesses, and/or oil and gas industrial facilities such as fertilizer, methanol and LNG liquefaction plants
  • 6 years of gas utility or oil and gas facility operational experience in an operations, maintenance, engineering, or work management role
  • Demonstrable success in building and growing a consulting offering portfolio
  • Demonstrable experience directing the full client engagement lifecycle for a large, global or international firm, (proposal through delivery and project expansion)
  • Ability to travel up to 80%

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or MBA
  • Utility industry professional licenses and certifications
  • 6 years of Big 4 Consulting experience supporting gas utilities and oil and gas industrials
  • 6 years of operational experience in a utility or oil gas industrial supervisory, management, or executive role
  • 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Utility electric and/or gas transmission and distribution business solution architecture
    • Oil & Gas and Industrial Facility Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Work and/or Asset Management during normal, emergency, and outage/refueling/maintenance availability periods
    • Mobility platform and mobile workforce management
    • Enterprise Asset Data Management
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Geographical Information System (GIS) and Graphical Design
    • Asset Risk Analysis and Capital Planning, Asset Performance Management
    • Solution Architecture and Design
    • Respective industry regulatory requirements and published standards
    • Operational Technology cybersecurity and NERC-CIP compliance
    • Enterprise Analytics technology and architecture
  • Understand the financial drivers and possess the business acumen to forecast, manage, and operate a significant project-based business
  • Skilled in constructing a deal win strategy, financial structure, and negotiate multi-year, Statements of Work including terms, risk mitigation, pricing, and payment terms
