Marketing & Communications Manager(Binnies)

Job Summary

Mid-level professional position, with responsibilities in one or more related areas: marketing, communications, event coordination, branding, and proposal support. Understands the strategy/vision of assigned work group. Requires thorough knowledge of business practices and procedures within work group or recognized body of formal knowledge. This includes knowledge required for complex problems, new project and system development, etc. Uses a wide application of principles, theories, concepts, and draws on previous experience to determine a course of action. Tasks may be more tactical than strategic in nature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing communication plans and content calendars for businesses within the division
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of strategic plans to promote and increase the brand identity
  • Proactively identify, write and edit engaging content for a variety of offline and online channels
  • Develop and manage relationships with relevant external publications and identify and co-ordinate opportunities for earned media coverage
  • Identify and prepare submissions for high-impact industry awards
  • Keep internal marketing data up to date (inc. intranet content, marketing material database and company app)
  • Support the wider marketing and communications teams to ensure all marketing communications for the division are produced to an impeccable standard

Management Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
  • Experienced storyteller with excellent copywriting and editing skills
  • Fantastic verbal communication skills
  • Commercially focused with strong background in B2B marketing communications
  • Experience working with multinational teams
  • Able to work within a virtual team but a self-starter and the ability to manage own priorities and workload
  • Confident in communication with all levels of company stakeholders, including senior management and external parties.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a communications role
  • International experience together with engineering and construction industry experience will be an advantage.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or a related field; or equivalent experience Experience: 4+ years related experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
