Job Summary

Functions in a lead technician capacity, technical design specialist and/or supervisor. Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex design challenges, typically within a specific engineering discipline, and contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions. Utilizes digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) in accordance with standardized procedures to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables. Responsible for ensuring technical excellence, adherence to schedules, and compliance with budgetary requirements, while effectively coordinating efforts across departments, teams, and stakeholders. May supervises an assigned team of engineering technicians and support personnel by coordinating, overseeing, and guiding both conceptual and detailed design activities to ensure quality, efficiency, and alignment with project objectives.

Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma in Design Education or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technology or Related disciplines.
- Minimum 15 years of experience required in the related field for this qualification.
- Experience with municipal water/wastewater projects for utilities and contractors.
- Proficiency as a Mechanical designer, Layout and Piping designer, Drafter.
- Competency in AutoCAD 2D and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
