Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an End User Computing Manager to lead the next generation of user experience.  This role will work across multiple B&V and service provider led teams to move EUC from strategy to implementation.  This role will be responsible for ensuring a positive experience is created for Black & Veatch professionals, leveraging a portfolio of modern IT End User Compute Services.  This includes assisting with the transition to Enterprise Service Management via automated and orchestrated processes, modernized desktop management, and identity lifecycle optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzing complex business needs and recommending technical solutions 
  • Be a thought leader to business and IT stakeholders for cost / value recommendations on EUC approaches  
  • Architecting cloud-based co-management solutions of compute devices 
  • Modernizing software packaging and deployment for traditional and modern managed desktop and mobile devices 
  • Optimizing end user self-help and self-service capabilities 
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring 
  • Collaborate with ServiceNow team to ensure user experience goals are exceeded 
  • Collaborate with CSI Lead to ensure process revitalization aligns with automation and orchestration targets 
  • Work with various IT teams to identify ServiceNow automation and integration opportunities to improve the existing state of IT operations 
  • Work with IT Security to define modern identify lifecycle strategy tied to new user experience 
  • Navigate a multi-vendor outsourced environment and establish user experience targets within that environment 
  • Coordination of the Engagement Managers across the interconnected projects combining deliverables, timelines, issues, risks, and project plan at the program level 
  • Establish strong rapport with clients, keeping both internal and external stakeholders informed of progress on a consistent basis 
  • Provide guidance and facilitate communications with Project teams and Architects and Developers throughout the effort to ensure project success and added value 
  • Provide Enterprise Architectural oversight for the delivery of technology 
  • Provide execution guidance to the PMO on the delivery of technology projects 
  • Produce and deliver strategic technology presentations for Business leadership, IT leadership, and technology vendors 
  • Provide strategic vendor management for all vendors delivering technology solutions 
  • Document complex technical concepts in a business consumable way

Management Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience:  10 - 15 Years' experience required. 

  • Experience with the Microsoft ecosystem of EUC solutions and the ServiceNow platform functions and ITSM processes 
  • 10+ years of experience working within IT End User Compute in a large-scale enterprise company and preferably experience within a consulting company 
  • Must also be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to executives and general audiences 
  • 5+ years of experience in an ITSM Manager Role, Service Desk Manager, Level 2 or Level 3, Service Level Manager or equivalent 
  • Previous experience configuring and customizing all aspects of end user compute – desktop management, software packaging and distribution, AD Group Policy, Asset Management, Identity Lifecycle, Service Desk, End User Self-Service, ticketing process improvement, software lifecycle management, device management, and mobility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in EPC industry preferred 
  • Understanding of a broad range of technologies at the architecture level and at a business process/impact level.  These include but are not limited to core network technologies, systems for enterprise work process, mobility, data management and cloud-based computing 
  • Program Management and Vendor Management 
  • Experience with designing a Digital Workplace 
  • Presenting complex technical concepts in business consumable language 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Proven track record in strategic technology planning, execution and policy development 
  • Leadership orientation and respect for discretion. Must be able to build consensus
