Job Summary

We are seeking an outcomes-oriented technology leader who is passionate about applying digital technologies to transform our businesses. The successful candidate will have proven experience in driving transformational change at global scale and positioning the company to incorporate emerging digital solutions.  He/She will also have a strong understanding of the latest trends and how to incorporate relevant emerging technologies. He/she will be a key evangelist for the applied use of automation to systematically drive efficient operations in all areas of the business.

 

“Digital Automation CoE Lead” will be a critical role within our company-wide imperative Digital Transformation and will be accountable for achieving business operational efficiencies by leveraging digital technologies across the enterprise. Automation CoE will be guided by the fundamental principles of Automation, Reuse and Instrumentation.

 

This role will lead the efforts to setup and execute Automation CoE to research, develop, incubate and drive adoption of the next generation of digital capabilities (such as RPA, AI / ML, API-enable legacy systems, BPM, IoT/blockchain, data mgmt, AR/VR, NLP, etc). This role will require future thinking on how to apply new digital capabilities to drive business value, growth and productivity. This role requires the ability to drive digital culture, new capability adoption, and alignment to broader business goals and objectives.

 

He/she will have accountability for setup, adoption, acceleration and growth of the automation COE across all business units and corporate functions. Key component of the role will be to strategically partner with designated business unit stakeholders, digital transformation leadership, IT stakeholders and external IT partners to drive automation, innovation and scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Digital Automation CoE in alignment with companywide imperative of Digital Transformation
  • Create detailed Automation and Innovation strategies (charter, technology stack, roadmap, business outcomes, stakeholders mgmt., Outcomes, KPIs, key milestones, financial models, operating models, etc) to guide the industrialization and consumption of automation in accordance with security architectures and frameworks.
  • Inspire trust and confidence in business units through strategic and diplomatic handling of relationships with business leaders and IT leaders with the goal of building, planning, assessing, and prioritizing automation related initiatives.
  • Understand industry best practices and challenge the status quo to support continuous improvement.
  • Create governance frameworks for the secure consumption of automation resources in accordance with security standards and regulatory obligations. Collaborate with strategic partners to develop and implement prioritization criteria in support of the most valuable portfolio work.
  • Establish risk management practices and participate as a liaison between technology, security and audit for business continuity because of automation.
  • Develop and govern a sustainable automation COE cost model using agile, DevSecOps, and factory models
  • Periodically report performance of Automation CoE in accordance with the roadmap, outcomes and KPIs and proactively propose for continuous improvement
Management Responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of (or equivalent) experience in strategizing, building business case, establishing, leading and scaling Digital Automation CoE
  • 5+ years of (or equivalent) experience in deploying next generation digital capabilities (RPA, AI / ML, BPM, Blockchain, IoT, advanced analytics, etc.)
  • 5+ years of (or equivalent) experience in portfolio and program management to execute automation initiatives
  • 5+ years of (or equivalent) functional knowledge of AEC / EPC industry as it pertains to automation
  • Experience in resolving complex business, systems, change management and program delivery challenges
  • Creative and innovative thinker with strong collaborative leadership skills to work in partnership with people relations and senior leadership teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of agile / DevSecOps methodologies with proven track record of successful program delivery
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management or comparable field
  • At least 5 years of management experience
  • At least 3 years of business partnership experience with exposure to senior management
