The Opportunity
The Marketing Automation & Operations Intern will help define, execute and measure successful Marketing analytics including demand and lead generation initiatives for the Enterprise Marketing team as well as in support of business unit marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure programs and audience segments are configured to meet campaign goals
- Apply experience with custom data objects, dynamic content, responsive templates, A/B testing, etc
- Monitor and ensure lead data quality and integrity, flow and routing between marketing automation platform and CRM
- Ensure lead/marketing processes comply with legal regulations (i.e., GDPR)
- Support the reporting of campaign metrics through ongoing collaboration with the Marketing Analytics Team
- Monitor and manage ongoing database health strategies and contact acquisition measurement
- Manage process for manually uploading contact lists into marketing automation
- Provide insights and creative approaches to aid in campaign optimization, and leveraging data from across the marketing technology stack
- Help manage our marketing automation platform to optimize lead generation from email programs and content marketing, automated trigger and nurture programs, behavior/lead scoring, and other tactics
- Apply expertise and support the technical configuration, integration and coordination of our marketing automation platform, Eloqua
- Responsible for the integrity of the marketing automation architecture, customer data governance and compliance, and integration with other marketing platforms
- Build, launch and optimize emails and campaigns, including standardizing templates, setup, testing, scheduling
- Monthly newsletters across four regions
- Behavior based drip email campaigns
- Ad hoc sends to support events and campaigns
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)
- Current enrollment in Marketing, Communications or a related degree program preferred
- Has a marketing degree with an emphasis in digital marketing
- Work experience in a marketing related role or internship preferred
- Marketing Automation experience - preferably Eloqua
- Demonstrates experience working in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot)
- Demonstrates expertise in marketing analytics
- HTML coding expertise (dynamic and responsive emails, web and landing pages) preferred
- Experience in executing digital marketing activities
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, preferably Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot).
- Experience with management and segmentation of marketing contact databases.
- Experience working in on email marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity in HTML.
- Experience with reporting and use of metrics to track and measure performance.
Minimum Qualifications
Current enrollment in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Multimedia, Public Relations or a related degree program. No experience required. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
