The Opportunity

This role will give you the opportunity to:

Ensure work execution is in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Manage commissioning scope, schedule, budget and quality on the assigned project
Actively coordinate with all other internal/external team members on projects 
Act as a technical specialist by the division, which includes having in-depth knowledge of an engineering process and/or of technical aspects of an industry 
Actively share knowledge with other staff members

The Team

The Black & Veatch Special Projects Corp. has its mission to provide a full range of services to our primary client base - U.S. Government agencies and departments. With the unique skill sets we have developed during the 100-plus years of service to our U.S. Government agencies client base, we are able to provide one-of-a-kind solutions to complex mission objectives that arise out of specific challenges faced by and unique to these agencies. Our primary areas of focus are: Architecture/Engineering (A/E) Services, Defense Program, Design/Build, Classified, and Environmental. 

Preferred Qualifications

Assigned to projects for U.S. Government Agency/Department clients. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred design experience related to any of the following subject matters:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Commissioning on projects of similar size and scope. Provide documented experience as a lead person responsible for commissioning of systems of the type and complexity similar to the systems in the construction projects.
Federal industry experience
Knowledge of mechanical and control’s system startup, TAB, and PVT

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related work experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Certifications

Professional Engineer License preferred

Commissioning Agent, certified by a national recognized commissioning organization. Acceptable certifications include:

ACG Certified Commissioning Agent,
AEE Certified Building Commissioning Professional
BCA Certified Commissioning Professional
ICB/TABB Certified Commissioning Supervisor
NEBB Certified Commissioning Professional

Work Environment/Schedule
