The Opportunity

The Senior Application Analyst will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing systems and applications that serve the Safety, Environmental, Security, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) functions. This individual will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional D&IT teams to ensure reliable system performance, effective troubleshooting, and seamless lifecycle management—from implementation to decommissioning. Experience with various jobsite technologies, such as, badging/turnstiles, security cameras, field weather stations and other construction site technologies (e.g., Sitemetric, Gallagher, Verkada, Live View Technologies, etc.) is highly desirable. 

 

This position is based out of the Overland Park office, and will require travel up to 30% to other BV site locations across the US. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide application support for Safety, Environmental, Security, and O&M systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, applying strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Coordinate with business units and D&IT teams to implement new systems, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Performs detailed system analysis and resolves integration issues through effective troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
  • Manage system lifecycle activities including onboarding, configuration, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Document system configurations, workflows, and support procedures.
  • Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in project planning, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business users to translate requirements into effective solutions.
  • Apply standards and lessons learned to maintain project quality.
  • Recommend hardware and software improvements to enhance performance.

Management Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically 8+ years related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in application support or systems analysis, preferably in Safety, Environmental, Security, or O&M domains.
  • Experience with cloud-based applications and integrations
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data privacy regulations
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies
  • Experience applying ITIL principles in IT service management environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating across teams and managing multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with system lifecycle management and change control processes.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, apply sound judgment, develop innovative solutions, and make effective decisions in dynamic environments.
