The Opportunity
The Senior MarTech and Informatics Manager is responsible for selecting, implementing, and managing marketing technology tools and platforms, bridging the gap between marketing and IT by translating marketing strategies into technical solutions and ensuring that data integration and flow across systems is optimized for business and reporting needs. Additionally, this person will be responsible for establishing data governance processes to enable the maintenance and growth of a robust client and prospect database that yields deep insights about our clients and enables precise, dynamic segmentation.
The Team
Black & Veatch’s Enterprise Evolution consists of critical functions focused on identifying market opportunities and bringing together our client facing and growth efforts. Functions include Enterprise Marketing & Communications, Enterprise Sales, Enterprise Strategy, Innovation, Mergers and Acquisitions and Sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and select new marketing technologies based on business needs and market trends.
- Implement and integrate various marketing tools like CRM systems, social media management tools, analytics software, and marketing automation platforms.
- Create and maintenance technology architecture documentation in partnership with D&IT
- Train marketing teams on how to effectively use marketing technology tools.
- Provide ongoing support to marketing teams on technical issues related to marketing technology.
- Monitor and maintain the performance of the marketing technology stack, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Ensure data structure, integrity, collection and enrichment processes are aligned with reporting and business needs
- Drive database management through health, hygiene, maintenance practices to aid in segmentation and persona development.
- Execute data integrity and enrichment programs in accordance with strategies developed with stakeholders including Sr. Marketing Analyst, D&IT and Enterprise Sales.
- Ensure that all marketing tech stack is capturing data in adherence to relevant data privacy regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA/CCPR and CAN-SPAM.
- Monitor IP health / deliverability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing technology trends and best practices and apply them to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
Decision Rights:
- System integrations of tools within the marketing technology stack.
- Data structure and flows in collaboration with Sr. Marketing Analyst.
- Compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
- Lead flow process inside marketing automation platform and Salesforce.
Key Linkages:
- Direct engagement with Digital Marketing/Operations team.
- Collaboration across all functions of the Enterprise Marketing organization.
- Regional collaboration that helps to support the planned digital marketing processes, tools and tactics outside of the US.
- Key relationships (outside of Marketing) include D&IT and Enterprise Sales/Sales Operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience, with 3-5 years working in marketing technology management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - along with strong interpersonal, organizational and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability in a tech-focused marketing role, with a consistent record of managing marketing technology platforms and tools.
- Visionary attitude with the ability to create and implement strategic roadmaps for marketing technology.
- Strong understanding of digital, performance, or growth marketing strategies and how technology supports these initiatives.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements related to marketing technology.
- Experience analyzing complex challenges, creating solutions, obtaining buy-in, and executing end-to-end. Ability to translate strategic priorities into operational plans.
- Strong understanding of the typical marketing campaign process and needed integrations, including everything needed to ensure a smooth process from lead nurture, capture and distribution, to opportunity creation and revenue realization.
- Solid understanding of digital and performance marketing concepts.
- Highly self-motivated, have a stellar work ethic, and can work both autonomously and collaboratively with cross-functional partners.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical collaborators.
- Experience with Salesforce, B2B specific marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, web CMS platforms (Contentful), event tools (Cvent), social media management (Sprinklr) and media monitoring systems (Muckrack).
- Familiarity with campaign operations, digital marketing operations, analytics, and sales operations.
- Skilled user of MS Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience with lead nurturing and scoring
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience
8+ years progressive experience, including 4+ years supervisory
