The Opportunity

Black & Veatch is looking for a Senior Video Production Manager to lead high-quality visual storytelling across video and photography. This role is ideal for a seasoned creative who thrives in an in-house production environment, collaborates seamlessly with other creatives, and confidently manages projects involving external vendors and partners. You will play a key role in shaping visual direction, executing end-to-end productions, and working with a creative team while maintaining exceptional production standards. Your exceptional work will promote the company’s brand and solution portfolio. 

Key Responsibilities

Video Production: 

  • Provide creative direction and collaborate with the Enterprise Marketing team to develop content that promotes the company’s marketing, branding, editorial, and internal needs. 
  • Evaluate project needs to direct creative approaches and provide guidance. 
  • Lead or accompany in all aspects of video production and photography, including scriptwriting, storyboarding, filming, and post-production. 
  • Work with the team to ensure that video content meets brand standards, is visually cohesive with campaigns, and is delivered on time and on budget. 
  • Strong working knowledge of professional camera systems, lenses, lighting, and audio equipment for both studio and on-location shoots. 
  • Strong, proactive skills in troubleshooting production and post-production issues independently. 
  • Source, coordinate and direct outside vendors as needed. 
  • Travel to film project locations with video gear in tow. 
  • Strong executive presence. 

 

Photography: 

  • Extensive experience photographing executives and senior leadership, including environmental portraits, formal headshots, and candid imagery for marketing, editorial, and internal communications. 
  • Ability to work confidently with high-level stakeholders, ensuring subjects feel comfortable, prepared, and professionally represented. 
  • Experience capturing project-based photography, including work-in-progress documentation, facilities, installations, events, and behind-the-scenes production. 
  • Proven ability to maintain brand consistency across executive and project imagery. 
  • Advanced post-production skills for executive and project photography, including retouching, color correction, and image optimization. 
  • Ability to organize, archive, and deliver photography assets for long-term use and accessibility. 

Animation: 

  • Strong experience creating motion graphics and animation to support video content, brand storytelling, and digital communications. 
  • Work with the marketing team to conceptualize and design animations that convey complex concepts in a simple and easy-to-understand manner. 
  • Experience integrating animation seamlessly with live-action footage to enhance clarity and engagement. 
  • Experience developing reusable animation templates to improve production efficiency. 
  • Working knowledge of emerging animation styles, techniques, and workflows. 
  • Familiarity with exporting and optimizing animations for multiple platforms and formats. 
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure that animations are delivered on time and within budget. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert-level experience (10+ years) in video production workflows, including pre-production, directing, cinematography, audio capture, editing, color correction, and final delivery. 
  • Working knowledge of color spaces, codecs, resolutions, and compression standards 
  • Advanced proficiency with professional video and photo editing tools, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, and Media Encoder (or equivalent software). 
  • Advanced experience with 3D/animation software such as Blender or Cinema 4D. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Experience producing content for a wide range of platforms, including web, social media, broadcast, digital signage, and internal communications.  
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work model with some office as well as remote time.  

 

This is a challenging and rewarding role that will elevate an already high-mark multimedia production team. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years progressive experience, including 2+ years supervisory
