Job Summary

The Sr. Business Analyst, Corporate Systems will be part of the IT Corporate Systems team. The role is multifaceted and combines working with internal corporate business customers and staff on project management and implementation of complex, customized, custom built, COTS, and SaaS applications and for ensuring quality of enhancements that provide business value.


Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for leading, managing, and facilitating activities pertaining to the development and completion of system deliverables. System deliverables include creating and validating artifacts, developing system requirements, and assisting with translation into functional system specifications. Incumbents work with business and IT delivery teams to understand the business vision and collaborate with IT delivery teams to enrich understanding by thorough deliverables development and reviews. This role will research and help resolve defects and production issues with business and technical teams and assist with defining and creating test case scenarios. In addition, responsibilities include participation in the sign-off of key deliverables and the storage of critical artifacts, as well as accountability for managing systems requirements and artifacts to IT team members.


The ideal candidate must possess knowledge of the Human Resource industry, business acumen as well as application implementation capabilities and experience. The role requires frequent interaction with Business Users, Developers, Consultants, Vendors, and Managers, to ensure that we deliver a quality Human Resource /corporate systems application to our users. The ideal candidate will be well versed in communicating with business users, functional and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between the business area and technical professionals through which requirements and user stories flow
  • Facilitates/oversees the analysis and design of technology solutions to ensure business needs are met
  • Proactively communicates and collaborates with customers to analyze information needs and requirements to deliver system artifacts as needed
  • Partner with business to prioritize requirements, and effectively leads the elicitation and documentation of system requirements and solutions into products
  • Act as Scrum Master to manage minor enhancement product backlogs in an agile methodology
  • Research business areas current systems/applications and processes to identify potential risks and opportunity to promote process improvements based on best business practices and maximize functionality within current business systems. Recommend technical solutions/enhancements or upgrades.
  • Engage with various business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities within corporate systems

  • Clarity PPM experience (or like system, i.e. Jira)
  • SaaS HCM experience
  • Experience with system to system integrations
  • ServiceNow experience
  • Experience working in an HR or HRIS position
Minimum Qualifications

Experience:  Typically, 5+ years of relevant work experience to include business analysis, business/system requirements, and technical analysis

  • Knowledge of multiple SDLC’s including waterfall, agile, Kanban

Education:   College degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or business degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Analyst experience with COTS, SaaS, and custom-built applications
  • Excellent technical writing skills and ability to document software requirements
  • Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate business/technical requirements and schedules with a customer
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities smoothly and professionally
  • Familiarity working with offshore teams
  • Excellent MS Office skills
