Job Summary

Provides compensation analytical and technical support to compensation staff and management. Responsible for design, set-up, administration and maintenance of various forms of data, including Human Resource Information System (HRIS) tables and relational database processing systems. Analyzes, recommends, develops and generates complex, often ad hoc, queries and reports from HRIS and other sources. Completes and/or processes salary surveys and market studies, as well as performs analysis under the general direction and guidance of senior compensation staff. Responds to questions and initiates communication with employees and management regarding compensation program guidelines and procedures. Serves as main internal compensation consultant and contact for multiple smaller business units our countries.

  • Serves as main internal compensation consultant and contact for multiple smaller business units or countries. Handles mildly complex requests independently and collaborates with compensation specialist(s) and/or manager on complex requests.
  • Provides technical/analytical support to compensation department in the set-up, management, maintenance, and operation of various data management tools and systems. Assists compensation staff and management with technical processing issues related to those systems and the related data.
  • Provides ad hoc data requests to compensation staff in a timely and accurate manner. Accesses data by generating new or existing HRIS queries, researching HRIS or other data sources.

  • Conducts audits and analysis of HRIS data for compensation purposes. Identifies issues and initiates resolution. Generates monthly and quarterly reports from HRIS to assist in compensation analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides back up support of the review and approval ofpay or job-related personnel changes outside of guidelines, including promotions and job changes.
  • Supports the annual merit increase and year-end bonus processes including the set-up and continuous administration of the online tool, providing support to the business and HR business partners throughout the process and supporting the merit upload and bonus payout process.
  • Provide back-up support for the processing of bonus request forms. Obtains appropriate approvals. Coordinates payment with Payroll. Updates and reconciles the Bonus Log monthly.
  • Completes salary surveys. With minimal guidance from compensation specialist(s) and/or manager, retrieves data, completes survey questionnaires, and corresponds with survey vendors.
  • Prepares special market analysis as requested. Retrieves information from salary surveys and enters into spreadsheets. Reviews job documentation and compares to survey jobs. Present matches to compensation specialist(s) and/or manager, along with related information, and performs further analysis as needed.
  • Creates formal presentations for management as directed.
  • Assists in the development of job family structures, including writing job documentation or training others in writing job documentation. Assist compensation specialist(s) and/or manager in the market evaluation of jobs and review of jobs from a legal compliance and FLSA perspective.
  • Coordinates additions and changes to Job Summary Manual and SuccessFactors Job Profile.
  • Makes recommendations for improving various compensation processes, and strives to ensure accuracy and confidentiality of compensation activity. Assists in ensuring adherence to company policies and legal compliance.
  • Receives and responds to mildly complex compensation questions and/or requests from within the organization. Directs more complicated/complex issues to compensation specialist(s) and/or manager. 
  • Supports mildly complex research and analysis associated with special compensation programs, analyses or projects.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in HR or Accounting preferred.

Experience:   3 years related experience required. HR, HRIS, Compensation or Payroll experience preferred.
