Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced platform product management leader to define and scale the enterprise software platform that powers multiple digital products across the business. This leader will own the platform strategy, roadmap and outcomes for shared capabilities for Digital Products – including identity & tenancy, data and API layers, integration of AI services, observability, security & compliance, and growth enablers like the UX design system. This role ensures our platform enables product teams to deliver value quickly, with agility, predictability, and resilience, consistent with the Digital Product Operating Model (DPOM).

As a key member of the Digital Products team, this leader will help accelerate product delivery by providing well-defined standards, reusable services, and self-service capabilities for the product team. S/he will have responsibility for improving reliability and transparency through clear SLOs/SLIs and cost governance and be accountable for enabling strategic investments with ruthless prioritization of shared capabilities to unlock value.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the platform vision and multi-year roadmap aligned to DPOM principles and enterprise strategy (products, capabilities, governance).
  • Define portfolio lenses and prioritization criteria for shared capabilities (core common services, data, API, developer experience, observability).
  • Translate strategy into quarterly objectives and measurable outcomes; maintain a living roadmap with clear dependencies and runway for product teams.

Shared Capabilities

  • Treat platform building blocks as products: articulate problem statements, target personas (engineers, SREs, product teams), value hypotheses, and adoption goals.
  • Define MVPs and maturation paths for capabilities such as identity/tenancy, API gateway & standards, data platform, observability, CI/CD, AI integration.
  • Establish paved-road standards and reference implementations; retire or consolidate duplicative tooling.

Enablement and Developer Experience

  • Provide self-service workflows, golden paths, and templates (briefs, roadmaps) so teams can build and operate reliably with minimal friction.
  • Partner with Engineering to evolve platform ergonomics (SDKs, starter kits, deployment scaffolds, documentation).

Reliability, Security and Compliance

  • Set and govern SLO/SLI/SLA targets for shared services; embed resilience patterns and incident response rituals.
  • Partner with Security, Cloud, and Compliance to ensure tenancy isolation, data protection, auditability, and cost controls are first-class.

Cross functional leadership and Stakeholder engagement

  • Lead with a product mindset - connect initiatives to business outcomes, orchestrate tradeoffs, and drive adoption through clear communication and demos.
  • Partner closely with product leaders, architecture, engineering, and operations; create feedback loops with internal users and external stakeholders.

Financials and Economics

  • Own platform TCO and unit economics (e.g., cost per request/user/tenant).
  • Build business cases for new capabilities and sunsetting of legacy components

Governance and Operating Model

  •  Champion DPOM governance rituals, metrics, and continuous improvement across platform and product teams (e.g., quarterly planning, portfolio reviews.
  • Maintain transparency of platform health, capacity constraints, and prioritization decisions—especially where shared foundations unblock product value.

Management Responsibilities

Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred EPC/Industrial Experience

  • Delivering digital platforms for capital projects, asset management, field operations, and industrial safety/quality contexts.
  • OT/IT integration awareness (edge, SCADA, historian data, secure connectivity).
  • Multi-region delivery and complex stakeholder environments (owners, contractors, suppliers).

  • Deep familiarity with cloud-native architectures, APIs, data platforms, and developer experience tooling; ability to make pragmatic build/buy decisions.
  • Demonstrable expertise in operating models and portfolio management; comfort with DPOM-like governance, measurable outcomes, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong grasp of reliability engineering, observability, performance, and cost governance for platforms.
  • Excellence in cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, and clear communication with technical and business audiences.
  • Experience guiding initiatives with Predictive and Generative AI capabilities in resource-constrained environments.
  • Proven ability to partner with Engineering, Security, Architecture, and AI leaders.

Communication and Cultural Fit

  • Exceptional ability to engage and influence senior business stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business language.
  • Skilled in building consensus across diverse teams and driving alignment on strategic priorities.
  • Demonstrates a strong cultural fit for Digital and IT organizations, embracing agility, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Success Metrics

  • Platform adoption & reuse (services/components used per product).
  • Reliability and performance (SLO attainment, incident MTTR, incident reduction).
  • Speed & Predictability: Lead time for changes, deployment frequency, forecast accuracy for shared service delivery.
  • Economics: Cost per transaction/user/tenant; efficiency gains from consolidation and auto-scaling.
  • Stakeholder Trust: Platform NPS and satisfaction across internal product teams; audit and compliance outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 12+ years in product management and/or platform leadership for multi-tenant SaaS, internal platforms, or large-scale shared services; proven track record shipping platform capabilities used by multiple teams.
