Job Summary

Black & Veatch is looking for a skilled Software Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute tests to ensure quality of Web and Desktop .NET applications and services in the healthcare industry. The QA engineer plays an important role in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and development of automated tests, conducting automated and manual tests before product releases to production to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs. QA engineer should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

This role is based in our Poznan office in Poland.  We are also happy to consider virtual working from home, as long as you are resident in Poland.

In this role you will communicate in English and must be fluent at a C1/2 level. Please submit your application in English.

Key Responsibilities

Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios
Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate manual/automated testing activities
Design, develop and execute automation scripts
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Configure and maintain test environment

Preferred Qualifications

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Experience in Cybersecurity testing
Experience in Load Testing
Experience working with Mobile automation testing tools for Android / iOS / cross-platform 
Experience working with API testing tools that require strong coding skills to create tests: REST Assured / RestSharp / jMeter
Familiarity with popular API tools such as Postman / Swagger

Required Qualifications

5+ years in Software Quality Assurance 

Previous role in / responsibility for creating modern test automation architecture / strategy and responsibility for delivery of test automation and its results to contribute to assurance of product quality (front-end and back-end test automation)

Experience in preparing Test Plans, writing Test Cases and Manual Test Execution

Experience working with Test management tools such as MS Test Manager

Experience in design, development and execution of automated tests for Web apps, incl. UI/UX

Deep knowledge of test automation tools such as TestComplete / Selenium / other

Basic Knowledge of MS SQL

Experience working with Defect management tools like MS Azure DevOps / TFS / Jira

Experience working with MS Azure DevOps, source code management (Git), CI/CD solutions

Experience with testing rollout process including installers

Ability to work independently while also being a team player

Certifications

Certified Software Test Engineer or Certified Software Quality Analyst certification.
