The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of large Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC)/Services projects, including risk to cost, schedule, quality.  The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted Services or EPC scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, staffing, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. Manages and leads large teams of multi-discipline professionals. Coordinates and integrates the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team, including the activities of all third - party subcontractors contributing to the initiative. 

The Project Manager manages medium to large engineering and consulting projects involving multiple clients or partners. Manages multiple clients and /or projects using global project teams. Obtains new/repeat business on small to medium size projects; supports proposals and contract negotiations with clients.

El Gerente de Proyecto es responsable de todos los aspectos de los grandes proyectos de Construcción / Servicios de Adquisiciones de Ingeniería (EPC), incluido el riesgo de costo, cronograma y calidad. El Gerente de Proyecto es responsable de la ejecución exitosa del día a día de los Servicios contratados o del alcance de EPC en las áreas de desempeño, métricas financieras, planificación, dotación de personal, cronograma, calidad, cumplimiento contractual, seguridad y satisfacción del cliente. Gestiona y lidera grandes equipos de profesionales multidisciplinares. Coordina e integra las actividades asociadas con los elementos de ingeniería, adquisiciones, construcción y puesta en marcha del equipo del proyecto, incluidas las actividades de todos los subcontratistas externos que contribuyen a la iniciativa.

Key Responsibilities

•    Manages medium/ large size consulting, engineering and EPC projects involving multiple clients or partners 
•    Manages multiple clients and/or projects where the project team, client structure and/or project location present great challenges to the project. 
•    Obtains new/repeat business on small, medium and large size projects; supports contract negotiations with clients. 
•    Manages multiple project risks which include, but not limited to: Fixed price, new technology, non-domestic markets or new clients. 
•    Support sales on the development of winning strategies and participates in the preparation of proposals for prospective new business. 
•    Actively engages with sales in the closing of new business opportunities. 
•    Support Sales pursue and develop new business opportunities within Chile. 
•    Manages business development budgets and events within Chile. 
•    Serves as the principal client advocate for assigned clients and represents the voice of the client within Black and Veatch.

•    Obtiene negocios nuevos o anteriores que se repiten en proyectos pequeños, medianos y grandes; apoya las negociaciones de contratos con los clientes.
•    Maneja múltiples riesgos de proyectos que incluyen, pero no se limitan a: precio fijo, nueva tecnología, mercados no domésticos o nuevos clientes.
•    Apoya a ventas en el desarrollo de estrategias ganadoras y participar en la preparación de propuestas para posibles nuevos negocios.
•    Participa activamente con ventas en el cierre de nuevas oportunidades comerciales.
•    Entrega soporte a ventas para perseguir y desarrollar nuevas oportunidades comerciales dentro de Chile.
•    Maneja presupuestos y eventos de desarrollo de negocios dentro de Chile.
•    Sirve como el principal defensor del cliente para los clientes asignados y representa la voz del cliente dentro de Black and Veatch.

Management Responsibilities

Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.

Preferred Qualifications

•    Knowledge and overall understanding of Power industry with +10 years of Experience; knowledge of industry business drivers and motivators. Previous Services and/or EPC Project Management experience within the power industry on mid to large size projects.
•    Project management experience on Renewables, Power Transmission / Distribution projects. 
•    Excellent communication/sales skills (written, verbal, client service, persuasiveness, and negotiations); Ability to develop and maintain key relationships.
•    Highly task oriented to focus on winning new business and achieving sales targets. 
•    Currently maintains existing network of relationships and contacts with utilities, energy companies, independent power providers and developers in Chile.  
•    Exhibits high ethical standards in business and in work; maintains a reputation of integrity among clients.
•    Understanding of financial metrics including PGM, revenue, overhead costs, profit and loss, and project financials.
•    Domestic and International travel as required for business development and project support purposes.


Calificaciones preferentes
•    Conocimiento y comprensión general de la industria de la energía con +10 años de experiencia; conocimiento de los impulsores y motivadores comerciales de la industria. Experiencia previa en servicios y/o gestión de proyectos EPC dentro de la industria de la energía en proyectos de tamaño mediano a grande.
•    Experiencia en gestión de proyectos en Energías Renovables, Proyectos de Transmisión / Distribución de Energía.
•    Excelentes habilidades de comunicación / ventas (escritas, verbales, servicio al cliente, persuasión y negociaciones); Capacidad para desarrollar y mantener relaciones clave.
•    Altamente orientado a tareas para enfocarse en ganar nuevos negocios y lograr objetivos de ventas.
•    Actualmente mantiene una red existente de relaciones y contactos con empresas de servicios públicos, empresas de energía, proveedores de energía independientes y desarrolladores en Chile.
•    Exhibe altos estándares éticos en los negocios y en el trabajo; mantiene una reputación de integridad entre los clientes.
•    Comprensión de las métricas financieras, incluidos PGM, ingresos, costos generales, ganancias y pérdidas y finanzas del proyecto.
•    Se esperan viajes nacionales e internacionales, según sea necesario para fines de desarrollo de negocios o para apoyar proyectos en desarrollo.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of science degree.
