The Opportunity
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- To provide engineering and construction related project management and technical oversite of planning, design, analysis and studies for domestic and international geotechnical and Heavy Civil (Tunnel) projects.
- Functions as engineering manager and technical specialist supporting project and pursuit teams on Heavy Civil (Tunnel) projects.
- Supervise multi-disciplinary engineering teams on projects of medium to high complexity and is responsible for execution of assigned projects

This team has a portfolio of major civil works projects across the country that are moving the needle. Key Responsibilities
- Support geotechnical and Heavy Civil Business Line projects
- Perform site visits of on-going construction work and overseeing geotechnical field investigations, may require up to 30% field work.
- Prepare design materials for basic design assignments. This includes basic analysis, design calculations, equipment research, sketches, etc., required to prepare documents, specifications drawings or to meet other project requirements.
- Review manufacturer's drawings with respect to B&V design criteria; marks for conformance.
- Prepare a variety of complex engineering deliverables.
- Plan and conduct independent evaluation, selection and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Review lower level engineering work or assignments.
- Coordinate design with other personnel working on same project to minimize design conflicts.
- Perform special studies or analyses of specific portions of a project; study includes research, investigation or coordination.
- Coordinate with personnel in other departments and client personnel to review designs and resolve areas of concern.
- Supervise the engineering work of assigned Drafters, Designers, and subordinate Engineers. This includes work assignments, scheduling and review.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work for an assigned portion of a major project or the total project of moderate scope.
- Develop alternate methods, techniques or design concepts as required to resolve unique design problems.
Preferred Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in geotechnical and/or heavy civil design projects
• Licensed Professional Engineer or be in active pursuit of registration
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
- Minimum of 8 years related work experience.
- All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

- Hybrid Work Schedule (3 Days in Office/2 days Remote)
- Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards (electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation). Sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
