Job Summary

Functions as technical specialist, or has management and/or administrative responsibilities for a group. May supervise multi-discipline engineering staff on projects of medium to high complexity, and/or is recognized as a key reference for technical guidance through depth and breadth of knowledge. Has some influence for scope of responsibilities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Can perform and guide teams to do hydraulic calculations and sizing of Mechanical Equipment, valves & piping.
Independently develop Conceptual design, Preliminary Design Report, P&ID, Layout and Specifications.
Vendor Pre-Bid Technical Engineering of Mechanical Equipment, bid clarification and bid evaluation.
Vendor Post Bid Technical Engineering – Review of documents and approval, coordination with Vendor and internal team, site coordination for technical queries.
Shall have expertise in design of multiple Mechanical systems on water and wastewater projects, typical systems which we are looking to apply advanced engineering principles and solve challenging technical problems while working on above in point 1 to 4 are listed below, candidate may not have exposure to all but open learn and understand quickly would be preferred:
Pumping systems (water, sewage, wastewater and sludge)
Mechanical equipment in Water Treatment Plant
Mechanical equipment in Wastewater Treatment Plant
Screening System
Aeration blowers, BNR Basins Diffusers and control valves
Bridge Cranes, monorail hoist
Compressed Air system.
Engine Generator and diesel fuel storage tank
Boilers, Heat Exchangers and Heating Water Piping
Digester Mixing, Gas Piping, Membrane Gas Holders & Waste Gas Burners
Screw Conveyors, Centrifuges
Odor Control System
Ozone System
Responsible for delivering multiple projects through Mechanical Engineers under guidance.
Can mentor and coach Mechanical Engineers.
Proactively provides guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and B&V policies. May own, maintain, update, or develop engineering standards and guides. Provide technical guidance to others regarding projects or disciplines.  
Applies knowledge and ensures compliance with B&V quality program. Establishes related processes, and promotes a culture that is conducive to quality. Supports continuous improvement, change management and risk management efforts.
Prepares a variety of complex engineering deliverables for multiple or mega projects.  Performs complex research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection. Oversees collection, assimilation, and management of data for engineering work.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 11 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
