Get Your Career Off to a Fast Start

Fast Start provides you with trusted advisors to assist you through the first year of your career with Black & Veatch. This company-wide onboarding program will help you quickly assimilate to the Black & Veatch culture while building relationships and accelerating your time to productivity.

To get started on this journey, your immediate Supervisor and a Sponsor assigned by your Supervisor will help guide you during the first 30 days. You’ll learn about the tools, resources and processes needed to start your position. After 30 days, a Learning Advocate, along with your immediate Supervisor, will assist you during the first year as you continue to learn even more about your role and build your knowledge. Through these one-on-one interactions with experienced Black & Veatch professionals, you’ll gain valuable insight with technical and job-specific training.

After completing your Fast Start onboarding activities, you may opt-in to have a Mentor, who will help you focus and align your personal career goals to organizational goals, and who will serve as your trusted advisor.

In short, Fast Start helps you begin your career development much quicker, while increasing your personal job satisfaction.
