The Telecommunications Division delivers telecommunication infrastructure solutions to utilities, local and state government agencies and the commercial wireless industry. o Role will be to function as Graphics Lead in managing a graphics production team of multiple engineering technicians for the drafting/design of miscellaneous Telecom based projects under the supervision of the Lead Engineer(s) and/or Engineering Manager. Performs advanced functions requiring knowledge and use of electronic applications, standards and document control processes/procedures in support of creating and modifying deliverables. Provide technical guidance and direction to other technical professionals including delegation of work assignments. Evaluates methods used to accomplish the drafting and/or design activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
o Graphics Standards:
? Proactively provides guidance and direction to technicians by utilizing knowledge of standards, system, document control, departmental guides, applicable codes and B&V policies and procedures. Reviews project requirements and accurately determine the correct format and contents of the required deliverables. Execute graphics projects to engineering budget, schedule, safety, and quality requirements.
o Quality/Continuous Improvement:
? Promote quality within project/group/section. Identify & implement efficiency improvements. Collaborate with Design Leads and Project Manager’s on execution solutions. Implement consistent processes, training, documentation and standards across Wireline projects. Reviews design inputs in order to ensure consistent deliverables. Assists to ensure deliverables are in compliance with the specific codes and standards suitable for the project. Responsible for drawing control and historical records, utilizing the appropriate method, as established by the project and as required by ISO. Demonstrates personal accuracy and drives continual improvement.
o Graphics Production:
? Applies basic principles and established design practices in developing conceptual designs and preliminary deliverables. Applies judgment and makes decisions with respect to deliverables and input on interpretation. Capable of handling difficult assignments within an area of expertise and can provide guidance to other professionals. Performs detailed material quantities and estimates as assigned. Uses advanced applications (e.g., modeling and design software) in performance of work provided. Reviews the deliverables of others. Defines work assignments and maintain schedules.
o Project Coordination:
? Coordinates with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development. May support field activities. May communicate project design requirements, progress and schedules.

? Focuses on the needs of internal clients while gaining an understanding of external client's main interests and drivers.
o Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology:
? Proactively seeks and shares knowledge of latest technologies and processes. May apply judgment and make decisions with respect to deliverables and input interpretation.
o People Management - (Supervision - Career Development - Developing Professionals, Mentoring):
? Manage staff performance. Supervises engineering technicians, including mentoring, instructing, delegation of work, and providing feedback. Participate in career planning, learning, and development. Transfer knowledge and build appropriate talent level/mix.
o Resource Management – (Staffing):
? Monitor staffing levels and available skill sets for project(s). Monitor and manage group chargeability & efficiency. Recommend project staffing levels. Facilitate recruiting and on-boarding of new staff.

o Technical Attributes:
? Working knowledge of the Computer Automated Drafting Design (CADD) program, “AutoCAD” is required. Basic knowledge in (GIS, 3GIS, Visio and Civil 3D) is preferred, but not required.
? Intermediate knowledge of engineering standards, systems, document control, departmental guides and B&V policies and procedures. •
? Intermediate industry knowledge and technology trends.
? Intermediate knowledge of company quality program.
? Intermediate ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned.
? Intermediate knowledge of other disciplines.
? Basic knowledge of construction & constructability practices & principles.
? Basic knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable guides related to assigned engineering discipline.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
Diploma or Certificate preferred. Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred. Typically a minimum of 2 years related work experience.
