You will work with professionals in the Consulting and Digital Delivery Teams who represent a dynamic and cross-functional group of experts in strategy, data, technology, and asset management systems. Key Responsibilities

The Testing Engineer is responsible for executing system-level testing activities to validate that solutions meet defined functional and non-functional requirements. This role ensures quality assurance through structured test execution, comprehensive test case development, traceability management, and disciplined defect lifecycle management. The Testing Engineer works closely with project teams, SMEs, and vendors to drive issue resolution and maintain transparency into system quality through effective reporting.

 

System Test Execution

• Execute system, integration, and acceptance test cases in accordance with approved test plans and schedules

• Validate system behavior against expected results and document outcomes with supporting evidence

• Support readiness activities including environment validation and test data verification

Test Case Development & Maintenance

• Develop, review, and maintain structured test cases aligned to business requirements and use cases

• Ensure completeness of test coverage across end-to-end workflows and integration scenarios

• Update test cases based on defect learnings, requirement changes, and system updates

Requirements Traceability Management

• Maintain and update the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure full coverage between requirements, test cases, and defects

• Report out on completeness of traceability coverage by testing phase

• Identify gaps in coverage and coordinate development of additional test scenarios

• Ensure traceability supports impact assessment and decision-making

Defect Management and Triage Facilitation

• Log, track, and manage defects through a centralized defect management tool

• Participate in and facilitate defect triage sessions to review, validate, prioritize, and assign issues

• Collaborate with developers, SMEs, and vendors to support defect resolution, retesting, and closure

• Ensure defects are properly linked to originating test cases and requirements

Test Reporting & Quality Metrics

• Produce regular test execution reports, defect summaries, and quality metrics for project stakeholders

• Track and communicate test progress, risks, and system readiness

• Provide insights into defect trends, coverage status, and exit criteria readiness

Advanced Technology & Automation Skills

• Demonstrate fluency in AI technologies, large language model (LLM) APIs, autonomous agent development, and software testing automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and quality

Scope:

• Billable Hours target established in annual goal setting process. Generally works on 1-4 concurrent projects at a given time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, instrumentation or computer engineering, Information Systems, or similar Technical domain
  • 3 years of experience in system and user acceptance testing, configuration, application support, or technical implementation roles or project implementation services as part of an OT vendor team with emphasis on system testing
  • Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into structured test cases
  • Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., ALM, qTest, Jira)
  • Exposure to software development or system delivery lifecycle (SDLC) including design, build, testing, and deployment within large-scale enterprise programs
  • Functional understanding of OT systems such as ADMS, EMS, SCADA, or similar platforms
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into structured test case outputs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills to enable cross-functional coordination and lead triage discussions
  • Knowledge of Electric utilities operations functions and associated processes
  • Actively participated in at least one ADMS or other OT platform projects with technical domain experience
  • Hands-on experience in utility OT platforms such as ADMS, EMS, SCADA, DERMS, or related systems

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in instrumentation,  Information Technology or Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in system and user acceptance testing, configuration, application support, or technical implementation roles or project implementation services as part of an OT vendor team with emphasis on system testing
  • Experience with electric utility control systems operations or maintenance
  • Actively participated in at least two ADMS or other OT platform projects through the complete lifecycle including requirements development, design, systems integration & implementation and testing
  • Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., NERC CIP, IEC, IEEE) and utility regulatory environments
  • Experience supporting utility or critical infrastructure systems
  • Familiarity with configuration workbooks, parameter management, or system setup in enterprise applications
  • Familiarity with requirements traceability frameworks and governance models
  • Experience working in vendor-integrated environments with structured testing governance

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience. 4+ years experience in a business/consulting environment.  All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Certifications

Certifications related to area of expertise, where applicable preferred.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Ready to support US projects by working in late evening hours to ensure smooth handovers and strong collaboration with the US teams.
